5 Rumors About The Samsung Galaxy 9 That May Or May Not Be True

>> Friday 3 November 2017

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is the phone of the season, but if you’re looking to buy a phone in 2018, you could lay your hands on the Galaxy S9 - at least that’s what we think it is likely to be called. Here are five rumors about the latest Samsung phone which may or may not be true:

The basics:

The new Samsung could be using Android 8.0 Oreo with an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 845processor, 4GM RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It could have a bigger panel with powerful dual rear cameras.

Changes in the rear panel:

There have been plenty of rumors about Samsung making huge changes on the rear panel design. For one, the fingerprint sensor could be moved below the camera. There have been some complaints about users finding it uncomfortable to use them in their current position which is next to the camera. Some Galaxy fanboys are sure about the on-screen fingerprint sensor, but we haven’t heard a word from official sources as yet.

Camera:

We know that Samsung is working on a camera that’s the most sophisticated till date. It could be aiming for a sensor that can shoot at 1,000 fps. If they’re successful, Samsung could have the highest fps on any smartphone; the Sony Xperia XZ1 and the Xperia XZ have sensors that can shoot at 960 fps.

Ditching the headphone jack:

Will Samsung get rid of the headphone jack? Some tech magazines have posted sketches of the soon to be released Galaxy S9 which seems to confirm these rumors. The rumors about under-screen fingerprint sensor also seem to add to the speculation.

Storage Space:

We don’t see why Samsung should opt for a smaller storage, especially since they’ve set the bench mark with their 64GB and 256 GB.

As for price, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is unlikely to be inexpensive. Of course, you can always buy a carrier locked phone and call us to unlock your Samsung phone.
